Vikram Chamberlain is a Librarian who ended up moving forward in time from 1847 to the 2020s. When Chamberlain arrives in the present, he unsealed a well of unstable magic in order to restore his Annex. Modern Librarian Jacob Stone gives Chamberlain and his team six months to get the magic he unleased under control before Chamberlain is recalled to the main Library.
Biography
Early Life
Vikram Chamberlain was born in India. As a youth, he was trained by the Fakirs to lie on spikes and walk on hot coals, which allegedly helps him to withstand pain better than an average person. He received his education at University of Oxford and the Sorbonne University.
Serving as the Librarian
In 1832, Vikram Chamberlain was recruited to The Library and was assigned to work out of the Serbian Annex. He was willing to use magic against the rules and he developed a reputation as the rogue Librarian. He refused to have a guardian feeling that they would only get in his way. Vikram fell in love with a Serbian noblewoman named Anya, and she became pregnant with his child. He set out on a quest to stop General Bogdan Gregor and his cult from using magical artifacts to dominate the world. In 1847 Vikram confronted Gregor and got them trapped a time bubble.
Traveling to the Modern Day
Modern Librarian Jacob Stone freed Vikram Chamberlain from the time bubble. The rogue Librarian unleashed a well of magic to restore his Annex, but the power also activated dormant artifacts across the region. Stone gave Vikram six months to work with his team to secure the newly activated magical artifacts. The question lingered as to whether Vikram is constantly challenged to his oath to the Library and his new team or whether he would attempt to travel back to his own time where unfinished business and his heart remained.
